Her interest in art began early, sparked by a school trip to the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, where she first saw Winslow Homer’s The Fog Warning. That moment ignited a lifelong commitment to art and learning. Cassie’s artistic journey has been shaped by classical training and personal exploration across many media and styles.
Her formal education includes atelier-style instruction in the Boston School tradition while still in high school, followed by a Bachelor of Fine Arts from MassArt in 1999, with a dual major in Painting and Art Education. She later earned a second BFA in Graphic Design and became a licensed Massachusetts art educator for grades 5–12. From 2018 to 2021, she refined her classical drawing and painting skills at the Academy of Realist Art Boston. She is now studying at the Thomas R. Dunlay Teaching Studios in Norwood, MA.
Cassie completed a rigorous tattoo apprenticeship from 2010 to 2015, building a strong safety, technique, and design foundation. She maintains annual Bloodborne Pathogens and CPR certifications and holds active tattoo licenses in three states.
Inspired by nature and grounded in French Academic Realism, American Impressionism, and Surrealism traditions, Cassie works in a wide range of media such as pastel, watercolor, acrylic, and oil. She believes switching mediums keeps her perspective fresh and her work present. In tattooing, she especially enjoys American Traditional styles.
Cas is dedicated to her art and clients, working by appointment from Mondays to Saturdays. She is available at Shrine Tattoo Studio, located in East Providence. While Cas is open to accepting walk-in clients if her schedule permits, it is recommended to contact her directly to schedule an appointment for a more personalized experience.
Cassie is phenomenal! My girlfriend and I came in for walk-ins on a whim. Let me tell you, she took pride in her work designing our art. 10/10 would recommend her attentiveness and friendly demeanor. Easy to talk to and won’t start unless you truly love the design
