Erin Mac, the driving force behind Shrine Tattoo Studio LLC, has been deeply influenced by her artistic and musical family background. From a young age, Erin’s talent in art was evident. She often used her creative skills to design art for friends and family, even earning her school lunch money through these endeavors.
In the late 1980s and early 90s, the tattoo industry was predominantly male dominated. However, Erin’s passion for designing tattoos for friends ignited a deep interest in this art form. This early exposure to tattooing solidified her ambition to pursue a career in it. After obtaining her license as a tattoo artist in 2003, Erin honed her skills by working in local Rhode Island shops for several years. In 2019, her dream of establishing her own tattoo studio came to fruition with the opening of Shrine Tattoo Studio.
Erin’s expertise in tattooing spans various styles, including bold illustrative color, black & grey, and she is proficient in cover-ups, portraits, and more. Her favorite subjects to tattoo are birds, dog portraits, and florals. Erin believes in the transformative power of tattoos, especially for individuals undergoing significant life changes. She finds joy in being a part of her clients’ healing journeys, often forming lasting friendships with them.
Erin is dedicated to her art and clients, working by appointment from Mondays to Saturdays. She is available at Shrine Tattoo Studio, located in East Providence. While Erin is open to accepting walk-in clients if her schedule permits, it is recommended to contact her directly to schedule an appointment for a more personalized experience.
