As a mainly self-taught artist he has spent time working within many different styles and mediums including calligraphy pen & ink, charcoal, wood carving, and comic book art. He also enjoys painting in a variety of mediums from canvases and signs to wall murals.
After completing his tattoo apprenticeship in Rhode Island, Todd worked in Tattoo Shops in Massachusetts including Plymouth, Cape Cod, North Attleboro, and Fall River. With 15+ years in the trade, he has a solid fan base of friends and clients that he’s built over the years as he established the Grumpytod legacy. As a well-rounded artist, he is adept at working in several different styles of tattooing including Traditional, Black & Grey, Color, Cartoon, and New School.
When not tattooing, you can find Todd motorcycling and giving thanks to a Higher Power that keeps him humble in his career. He is always patient in working with clients, helping to turn their tattoo vision a reality, whether it’s designing custom pieces, revitalizing old tattoos, or doing cover-up work. Clients can testify that Tood takes the time to ensure that they’re comfortable and receive not just the best tattoo possible, but the best experience possible. His mix of gratitude, talent, humility, and a great sense of humor keep clients coming back time and again.
You can find Grumpytod at Shrine Tattoo Studio in East Providence when you stop by Tuesdays through Saturdays. He is happy to accept walk-in clients if he is free and available. Though, you can also contact him directly to schedule an appointment.
